The 33-year-old veteran’s uncharacteristic drop late in the fourth quarter proved costly as it would’ve given the Patriots a first down, but instead, they were forced to punt down 14-13. As painful of a loss it was, Edelman is “on to 2020.” The three-time Super Bowl champion took to social media on Sunday to thank Patriots fans for their support throughout the disappointing 2019 campaign.
Josh McDaniels moves up head coaching interview times after Patriots loss to Titans
Josh McDaniels will interview for head coaching jobs sooner than expected following the New England Patriots’ Wild Card loss to the Tennessee Titans on Saturday. The longtime Patriots offensive coordinator originally was scheduled to begin the interview process Friday, Jan. 10. Now, McDaniels’ interviews with the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and Carolina Panthers will start on Monday, according to Michael Lombardi of The Athletic.

Kyrie Irving has taken plenty of heat for how his Boston Celtics tenure turned out. Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Kendrick Perkins each have criticized Irving for how he handled things with the C’s. Pierce said Irving deserved “the loudest boos in league history,” Garnett insinuated he “didn’t have the cojones” to play in Boston, and Perkins “lost all respect” for the former Celtics guard.

It’s been nearly four years since Tom Brady and Peyton Manning last faced off on the gridiron, but their epic rivalry remains alive and well. The two legendary quarterbacks recently caught up with one another for an episode of “Peyton’s Places” on ESPN+. In one clip tweeted by NFL Films, Brady gives Manning a hard time for his Indianapolis Colts (allegedly) pumping crowd noise into the RCA Dome during a game between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts.
