Winston-led No. 14 Michigan State tops No. 12 Michigan 87-69
Cassius Winston made his last home game against Michigan memorable with a sensational performance his in-state rivals would rather forget. Winston had a career-high 32 points and nine assists, leading No. 14 Michigan State to a 87-69 victory over the 12th-ranked Wolverines on Sunday. ”It was one of the greater performances that this building has seen,” said coach Tom Izzo, who has witnessed a slew of games at Breslin Center as a head coach and assistant over the last three decades.
Eller’s goal completes Capitals’ stunning OT win over Sharks
The Washington Capitals never believe they’re out of a game. Lars Eller scored with 2:59 remaining in overtime after the Capitals rallied from two goals down in the final minute of regulation, completing a stunning 5-4 victory over the San Jose Sharks. Eller also assisted Jakub Vrana’s second goal of the game with 47 seconds remaining as the NHL-leading Capitals became just the seventh team in league history to win after trailing by two inside the final minute.

Based on the manner in which Riveron was explaining the new procedure before the season began, Rudolph’s one-armed shove likely would have been enough to trigger a penalty via replay review.

Julian Edelman writes heartfelt message to Patriots fans after season-ending loss
The New England Patriots’ Wild Card loss to the Tennessee Titans is one that will sting for a while. The 33-year-old veteran’s uncharacteristic drop late in the fourth quarter proved costly as it would’ve given the Patriots a first down, but instead, they were forced to punt down 14-13. As painful of a loss it was, Edelman is “on to 2020.” The three-time Super Bowl champion took to social media on Sunday to thank Patriots fans for their support throughout the disappointing 2019 campaign.
