Patriots expect Josh McDaniels to leave, if he gets an offer
Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is under consideration for three head coaching jobs, with the Panthers, Giants, and Browns. Like they were two years ago, the Patriots are bracing for McDaniels to leave, if he gets an offer. In early 2018,…
Julian Edelman writes heartfelt message to Patriots fans after season-ending loss
The New England Patriots’ Wild Card loss to the Tennessee Titans is one that will sting for a while. The 33-year-old veteran’s uncharacteristic drop late in the fourth quarter proved costly as it would’ve given the Patriots a first down, but instead, they were forced to punt down 14-13. As painful of a loss it was, Edelman is “on to 2020.” The three-time Super Bowl champion took to social media on Sunday to thank Patriots fans for their support throughout the disappointing 2019 campaign.

Tannehill has been playing like an MVP for a Titans team that began the year hoping they’d never have to use him. Tennessee’s success in 2019 should give Bears fans confidence that Chicago can get back to contender status in 2020. McGregor has never shied away from the big fights, and he’s defeated most of his opponents, but he’ll need to be on point when he returns to the Octagon on Jan. 18, where he’ll face Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in the UFC 246 main event in Las Vegas.
No longer angry Serena glad to be back in New Zealand
Serena Williams returns to the Auckland WTA Classic on Monday for the first time since her “miserable” debut appearance three years ago, determined to put the record straight. “I’m in a really different frame of mind,” she said ahead of her opening match on day one — a marquee doubles appearance partnering Caroline Wozniacki — with her first round singles against long-time rival Svetlana Kuznetsova expected on Tuesday. The 38-year-old Williams is banking on Auckland setting her up for an unprecedented 24th major title at the Australian Open later in the month.
